Tom Connick Prevails in a Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings in Federal Court

Cleveland, Ohio | June 3, 2024 - Tom Connick prevails in a Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings in Federal Court on a claim seeking damages in excess of $3M dollars. He defended his client in bringing a motion pursuant to Rule 12(c), which provides that “[a]fter the pleadings are closed—but early enough not to delay trial—a party may move for judgment on the pleadings.”

David Lenz, Managing Partner, reflects on the strength of the Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell litigation team – “I am delighted with Tom Connick’s recent win. Once again, this victory demonstrates that our litigation team has the depth and experience to successfully prosecute or defend against multi-million-dollar claims.”
